Thursday 4th July saw Members, Fellows, award recipients and guests gather in the impressive setting of Apothecaries’ Hall for the Chartered Institution’s formal Admission Ceremony for new Members and recipients of recognition awards. The event was followed by a celebratory reception in the beautiful courtyard of the livery hall, thanks to the kind weather.

Fellowships

Honorary Fellowships (FCFE Honoris Causa) were conferred upon Marvin Cooke DL, former Executive Vice President, Toyota Motor Europe, and Dr Geoffrey Harrison, Chairman of Harrison Catering and the Harrison Foundation.

Post-Apprenticeship Recognition Scheme – PARS

Finally, we were delighted to recognise for the first time  qualified apprentices from the first pilot wave of 16 participants in the Post-Apprenticeship Recognition Scheme (PARS) with ten of group attending in person to receive their awards. PARS is a Professional Recognition Scheme for those who have completed an apprenticeship in the UK. It has been developed through a collaboration by CIFE and the Association of Apprentices.
