South Staffordshire College Recognised for Excellence and is Granted Chartered Status
South Staffordshire College is the latest Further Education provider to be awarded Chartered Status by the Chartered Institution for Further Education (CIFE). The College, which consists of 5 campuses across the south of the region, is an exemplar in building learner’s careers and offering pathways to positive progression for all learners regardless of their starting points. The College also works annually with over 500 employers including businesses such as CVS Group Plc, Perkins Engines and ADSA.
Speaking of the achievement, Claire Boliver, Principal and Chief Executive said: “we are proud to become the latest FE College to secure membership of the Chartered Institution for Further Education. The CIFE represents the very best of further education and I am delighted that our college has been successful in being granted Chartered Status. The CIFE is the only organisation that has been given royal assent in awarding chartered status to FE providers so this is an achievement that our learners, staff and the wider South Staffordshire community can be proud of.”
Dawn Ward CBE, Deputy Chair of the CIFE added: “In admitting South Staffordshire College to membership of the CIFE today we have recognised the fantastic work that they are doing in ensuring that the communities they serve have access to very high levels of skills and education that effectively leads to rewarding careers for individuals. The College epitomises all that is good about our sector, and we are thrilled to be awarding them Chartered status today.”
South Staffordshire College were conferred as a member of the CIFE at an admissions ceremony in London.
