Loughborough based childcare chain, Lime Tree Day Nursery group have worked with Loughborough College for many years on apprenticeships and career paths. From industry placements to career development, the relationship between Lime Tree and the College has forged a solid path for learners aspiring to work in childcare.
Making connections with local employers is an important part of Loughborough College’s ethos, and forging strong links is key for ongoing success. Working closely with Lime Tree has allowed the nursery to access further opportunities for staff growth and development. Lime Tree Nursery has had many apprentices and learners complete their qualifications with the College to a high standard and stay on for employment to become childcare practitioners.
Lime Tree Nursery has fed back that working with Loughborough College is “Always an easy and smooth process.” Citing the strength of communication from the College.
The Nursery has supported over 300 apprentices and industry placements with Loughborough College over the years the partnership has been active. They have been keenly involved in supporting the career development of learners, often taking part in College careers and apprenticeship events, supporting students in their journey.
Loughborough College has facilitated industry-quality teaching and support to learners on apprenticeship programmes for several years. Learners over 16 years of age are able to engage in a hands-on experience, leading to opportunities for progression and promotion in a wide number of industries. Students taking part in apprenticeships and work experience positions are supported with every step of their journey, from both the College and the partner organisation, offering help and advice with applications, funding, and qualifications.
We are proud to produce learners that are so impassioned by their development, they have continued to learn and go on to further apprenticeships and foundation degrees.
